He owns the firm along with his father John, who founded the business more than two decades ago.
“It all started for us in 1990, I was a 10-year old boy who watched the three goals flying in at Wembley as we beat Leek Town in the FA Trophy final,” said Paul. “That sort of ignited a passion for Barrow football which has been there ever since. And as our company has grown in the local area the community has supported us and we thought it was time to give something back. The Cassons have come into the club and given it a real push. We’re a community business so we thought ‘let’s get behind them and give them a bit of help’.” While Paul Casson owns AFC, his son Steven is the club’s commercial manager. Steven said: “The club are delighted to have J F Hornby as a sponsor for the upcoming season. It is a company that we are proud to be associated with because of the quality, diverse services it can offer Furness and South Lakeland.
We hope that this is the start of a long and enriching relationship with J F Hornby and we are excited to see how successful we can make this upcoming season on and off the field.”
