Ulverston based companies Process Pipework Services (PPS) and accountants J F Hornby & Co are delighted to announce a ground-breaking joint sponsorship deal with Barrow Raiders.
The unique deal will see PPS as main shirt sponsor and Hornbys will become Club sponsor with Craven Park being called the J F Hornby Stadium. The deal will see Raiders move to the next level of commercial sponsorship as they push for Championship rugby next season.
In a joint statement by PPS MD Kristian Wilkes and Hornbys MD Paul Hornby they said ‘We have not only been friends for many years but also Raiders supporters. When Oliver Wilkes (Kristian’s Brother) signed last year and became Captain we both attended most of the games and really wanted to become more involved. We are extremely impressed with the squad development and especially the academy which Cresta and his team have put in place however for sustainable Championship rugby the Club needed to move forward commercially which is where we can help’.
Barrow Raiders Commercial Manager Pete Murphy was also delighted with the new record breaking deal. He said ‘both Kris and Paul have probably two of the most ambitious and fastest growing companies in the area. To have them both on board is a real coup for Barrow Raiders. They are both not only supporters of the club but knowledgeable about Rugby League generally. We are a small Rugby family down here and to have PPS on the shirts in what will probably be Captain Oliver Wilkes Testimonial year is something a little bit special. What a lot of people don’t know is that Oliver’s wife Cath also works for Hornby’s as a trainee accountant so the whole deal just felt right’.
