A specially commissioned mini film telling the story of accountancy firm JF Hornby & Co is set to become a new feature at The Roxy.
Ulverston’s beloved cinema will screen The JF Hornby Story before every film for the next six months, as part of a new partnership agreement.
The 90‑second short features local children, families and business people, and follows the ambitions of a young boy who dreams of becoming an accountant.
Managing Director of JF Hornby & Co, Paul Hornby, said: “We are a family business rooted in our local communities and wanted to create something that truly reflects that.
“We love the film. It conveys our values and our approach to business, and it was fantastic to involve real clients, local schoolchildren and familiar local landmarks.
“I hope it is enjoyed by audiences at The Roxy in the months ahead. Sharing our story while supporting this fantastic local venue really does feel like a win‑win.”
JF Hornby & Co is based at the Daltongate Business Centre in Ulverston and employs 50 members of staff.
The firm works with businesses of all sizes and offers a full range of services, including accountancy, tax and tax planning, corporate finance, payroll solutions and cloud accounting.
