JF Hornby & Co has taken its season’s greetings to a whole new level this year – by commissioning a unique Christmas book brimming with festive cheer for its clients.
For years, our team has sent cards and calendars to valued customers as a way of spreading Yuletide joy.
But this December, something very different will be landing on doormats – a beautifully produced 40-page hardback book featuring an uplifting fictional tale of business resilience.
Managing Director Paul Hornby said: “Innovation runs through everything we do – and that includes how we communicate with our clients.
“For as long as I can remember, we’ve sent thousands of cards and calendars every December to keep in touch with the many businesses we’re proud to support and advise.
“This year, we decided to shake things up and create something truly special. The idea came to us quite late, but the team pulled out all the stops – and now the book is on its way to our clients and associates.
“I’m delighted with the finished product; it really is something unique.”
The book – titled ‘A Tale of Festive Joy’ – tells the story of a toy shop owner battling online competition. A spark of seasonal inspiration leads to one of her best Christmas trading periods ever, with the fully illustrated story ending on a heart-warming note.
Adding to the festive flavour, the book includes a recipe section featuring dishes and cocktails contributed by the JF Hornby & Co team – perfect for sharing with friends and family throughout December.
It also shines a spotlight on the Hornby Foundation, reflecting on its community work over the past year, including providing all the food for the Furness Homeless Support Group’s annual Christmas dinner.
Paul added: “I hope the book resonates with everyone who receives it. It reflects our personality as a second-generation family business – and the strong sense of community we share with our clients.
“We see our team and our clients as part of one big family. Together, we celebrate success while navigating the increasingly complex world of business and taxation.
“As we say in the book, we wish our clients and community a very Merry Christmas – and a happy, healthy 2026.”
