COMMUNITY groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations are being invited to apply for grants to support their activities.
The Hornby Foundation, which to date has awarded upwards of £360,000 to good causes, has launched its giving campaign for 2025.
Requests for grants of up to £10,000 are now being welcomed, with the first quarterly deadline for submissions set at February 28.

Grant: John Hornby with members of the Leven Valley AC, who are previous recipients of a Foundation Grant
Foundation Chair, John Hornby, said: “It has given us great pleasure to award grants to so many worthy causes over the last 10 years.
“We have seen first-hand what a difference the money has made to the lives of young people, those facing adversity and to organisations that work to make our communities a better place. I very much look forward to the meeting of trustees, at which we will discuss the latest batch of applications and urge any group that meets the criteria to get in touch.”
Causes which supports children or youth work, mental health and fitness, work to improve the lives of people with disabilities and where work is carried out on a voluntary basis are particularly welcomed to apply.
In the last round of charity funding, seven community groups received grants from the Hornby Foundation.
From sports clubs to church bell ringing groups, financial donations were pledged as part of parent company JF Hornby & Co’s commitment to supporting its local communities.
The latest round of donations brought the total awarded since the foundation was launched to more than £360,000.
