HEROES of the community will be celebrated with an award sponsored by JF Hornby when a popular event returns after a six-year break this summer.
The Heart of Ulverston Awards were an annual fixture in the town’s calendar until 2018, when they took a break for a while.
Now the popular event is returning after being resurrected by PR and marketing company, 32West – and JF Hornby & Co are delighted to be sponsoring one of the categories.
We will be championing amazing groups that work for the greater good of Ulverston as sponsors of the Community Group of the Year Award.

“Ulverston is at the heart of the JF Hornby family – it’s where we are based, where many of our clients are based, and where a number of our team members live.
“When we were approached about the Heart of Ulverston Awards, it was a very easy ‘yes.’
“This is a fantastic town – and much of that is down to the people who live, work and volunteer here. To be able to help celebrate the fantastic achievements of Ulverston’s unsung heroes is an honour and I can’t wait for the awards evening in May, when we will shine a light on some very special people.”
There are 13 categories in total for the Heart of Ulverston Awards 2024 and nominations can be made here.
The invitation-only ceremony and gala dinner will be held at the Coronation Hall on Thursday, May 16.
